Allocate Received Stock to the Oldest Orders First
10 September 2026
When stock reserved against a purchase order is received, it's now allocated to the reserved jobs, orders or work orders, oldest first.
When stock is reserved against purchase orders, share incoming deliveries fairly as they arrive. When you receive a purchase order delivery, the jobs, orders, or work orders reserved against it are allocated on an oldest-first basis. This ensures the orders that have been waiting longest are fulfilled first, giving you a consistent, predictable way of distributing incoming stock rather than leaving it to chance. The result is fairer allocation and less risk of older orders being held up while newer ones are met.
