Zigaflow vs AIM Tech: a system on its own, or one that comes with a membership

AIM Tech Suite is the order system included with membership of AIM, a buying group of independent promotional product distributors. Zigaflow is sold on its own, at a published price, with live feeds from the UK suppliers you choose and accounting sync to Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.

What comes with the membership

AIM Tech is only available to AIM members, so the real comparison is a membership against a standalone system, and for some distributors the membership wins. Every row was checked against aimsmarter.co.uk and help.aimsmarter.co.uk on 18 September 2026. AIM's help sheets still carry older product names in places, so a cross means the capability is not described on those pages, not that we tested the product and found it missing.

01

Leave the group, leave the system

AIM's member agreement is a rolling monthly contract with 30 days' notice, and on cancellation a member is "no longer entitled to" supplier discounts or "access to the AIM Tech Suite". Your quoting and order system is tied to your buying group. A Zigaflow subscription is tied to nothing else.

02

Built around preferred suppliers

AIM's terms say members are expected to make "AIM preferred network supplier products" their first choice. Zigaflow carries live product, price and stock feeds from the UK suppliers you pick, including Midocean, LALTEX and PF Concept.

03

A thin accounting link

The only accounting link AIM describes for AIM Tech is a QuickBooks desktop export marked "US Customers Only". The Xero, Sage and QuickBooks integrations on AIM's pages belong to PromoServe, its separate system. Zigaflow syncs with Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.

What an independent distributor gets from Zigaflow

Feeds from the suppliers you choose

Go and Momentum carry live product, price and stock from Midocean, LALTEX, PF Concept, Ralawise and other UK suppliers straight onto the quote line, whoever you buy from.

Margin on the quote, not after it

Every quote line holds the supplier cost beside the sell price, so the margin is visible before the customer sees a number. The same lines become the job, the purchase order and the invoice.

Where AIM is genuinely better

AIM is a buying group first: membership brings preferred-supplier discounts that no software can match, unlimited client web stores, a product sourcing portal with virtual samples and presentations, and no charge for setup or support. If supplier pricing is what your margins need, the membership may be worth more than the software difference.
