Zigaflow vs monday.com: a quote is a board item, or a costed job

monday.com is a very good place to see who is doing what, but its quotes and invoices are board items with subitems for lines - there is no purchase order, no supplier cost and no margin anywhere on the product, so the commercial half of the job still lives in a spreadsheet.

Where a Work OS stops

monday CRM does carry quotes and invoices, and on the Basic seat that is capped at 20 a month. What it does not carry is everything that happens between them: the order you buy against, the cost you paid, and the margin you are left with. Every row below was checked against the vendor's own product and pricing pages on 10 September 2026. A cross means the capability is not described anywhere on those pages, not that we tested the product and it was missing. Prices are the ones published that day and several are promotional, so check them before you decide.

No purchase order object

Nothing on monday.com/smb, the CRM pages or the industries directory describes raising a purchase order. For a distributor or installer, the PO is where the money actually leaves, so it ends up in email or a spreadsheet and the job record stops being the truth.

No supplier cost, so no margin

A monday quote line holds a price. It does not hold what you are paying your supplier for that line, so the board cannot tell you the margin on the job. You find out at month end, from the accounts, when it is too late to do anything about it.

Quotes are documents over a board

Items are quotes and invoices, subitems are the lines. That works until a line needs a decoration charge, a price break, a carriage cost and a supplier lead time - at which point you are rebuilding a quoting engine out of columns and automations.

Margin you can see before you commit

Supplier cost sits on the quote line next to the sell price. You know the margin on the job while you are still negotiating it, not six weeks later.

Where monday is genuinely better

For coordinating people across departments - marketing, product, HR - monday is a stronger and more flexible tool than Zigaflow, and its board views and dashboards are better at that job. Plenty of businesses run both. If your work is task coordination rather than quote-to-cash, buy monday.
