Can I use my own quote template design in Zigaflow?

Yes. Document templates are Microsoft Word files. The recommended approach is to download a system template, restyle it with your logo, fonts and layout, and keep its variables, or use it as a reference for the variables if you are building from scratch. Upload the file and preview it against real quotes before saving. Once quotations are right, copy the template to the other modules and adjust the variables and table columns for each.

How do variables work in Zigaflow document templates?

Variables are tags in curly brackets, such as the customer name or the invoice total, and Zigaflow replaces them with the record's data when it generates the PDF. Each module has its own list under Document Templates, Search Variables, split by function; Line Items covers the item grid. Static data such as the date and total goes in its own table; expanding data such as the items goes in a table that grows to as many rows as the document has. Keep the two in separate tables.

Can I show different columns for different sections of a quote?

Yes. Under Cog, Document Templates, PDF Section Styles, name the styles you need, for example Products, Support and Optional. On the quote, pick a style for each section from the dropdown beside it. In the template, tag a table for each style. Each style can have its own net total in a summary table, and TableSets control whether tables appear in edit-screen order or in a fixed position, so terms and conditions always come last.

Can the customer's signature appear on the quote PDF?

Yes, on quotations, jobs and contracts. Add a table to the template with {AgreementName} for the name typed by the signer, {ClientName}, {AgreementSignature} for the signature image, sized by the cell, and {AgreementDateSigned}. When the customer accepts online through the e-signature flow described on [Quotes](/features/quotes), the signed PDF is produced with those fields filled. eForms use different signature variables.

Can Zigaflow password protect PDFs?

Yes. Under Cog, Advanced, PDF Generation Password, set a password and every PDF the system produces is protected with it. Untick the option to remove protection.

Can I use my own domain for Zigaflow?

Yes. By default you log in at my.zigaflow.com and customers open links at customer.zigaflow.com. Create CNAME records on your domain for the two addresses you want, add them under Cog, Business Settings, Domains, and once the URL is ready generate the SSL certificate. Upload your logo, theme color and favicon under Branding so the pages carry your identity. Company stores have their own branded domains; see [Company stores](/features/company-stores).

Why is my template not loading or missing items?

The help center's troubleshooting guide covers the common causes: images pasted from another document, drawing objects, soft carriage returns or indents, and too much content in headers and footers can stop a template loading. Missing items usually come from formatting characters pasted into item fields; paste the text through a plain-text editor to fix it. Missing sections are often hidden from the client or set to a style the template lacks. Use fixed-width table columns so images size correctly, and JPEG rather than PNG.

What are Zigaflow document templates?

Every PDF Zigaflow produces - quotation, job or sales order, works order, purchase order, delivery note, invoice, contract - is generated from a document template, and the templates are Microsoft Word files. That is the whole design principle: anyone who can lay out a Word document can control what your customers receive. Small changes are made in the online editor with a live preview against your own documents; larger ones are done by downloading the template, editing it in Word and uploading it, either as a new template or into an existing one so that current documents pick it up too.

A template mixes static data such as the customer, date and totals with expanding data such as the item table, which repeats for every line on the document. Variables in curly brackets are found with Search Variables in each module and pasted where they belong. Section styles let one document show a products table with images and prices, a services table with durations and an optional-items table that is not added to the total, each tagged in the template and chosen per section on the quote, with a net figure per style for the summary. Specification tables produce one entry per unique item, or one item per page, for the detailed appendix. Signature variables print the name, signature image and date when a customer accepts a quotation, job or contract online. A PDF generation password protects every document the system creates.

Branding goes beyond the PDF. Your logo is placed on documents and emails with {BusinessLogo} and shown on screen, module icon colors are set under Branding, and your own domains can replace my.zigaflow.com and customer.zigaflow.com through CNAME records and an SSL certificate generated from Zigaflow, so quote review pages and the login screen carry your address.
