Tiered quotes: one quote, every quantity break

Promotional products, print and manufactured goods are priced by quantity, so the customer wants 250, 500 and 1,000 side by side.

01

Three quantities, three quotes

Before

The customer asks for 250, 500 and 1,000.

With Zigaflow

Start a tiered quotation from its pre-build, add the item, set the markup or margin, and the grid has a column per quantity.

02

Supplier price lists retyped

Before

The price is in the supplier's catalogue, the print cost is on another page, and the carriage is in an email.

With Zigaflow

Create the tiered quote from a supplier feed: pick the supplier, explode the product to the variation you want, see the inventory position where the feed provides it, and add it.

03

The quantity changes, the price does not

Before

The customer moves from 200 to 600 units. The unit price should drop a break, but the rep forgets, or discounts from memory.

With Zigaflow

On a standard quote, when an item's quantity crosses into a different price break, Zigaflow refreshes the cost and price to the new break automatically, provided the item has a price list that matches the quote's.

What are tiered quotes in Zigaflow?

A tiered quotation, also called a volume break or price break quote, displays multiple prices for the same product at different quantities and allows several cost factors to make up an item's price. It is the standard quote shape in promotional merchandise, print and any trade where the unit price falls as the order grows, and it is built into Zigaflow rather than bolted on. Switch it on under Module Settings, create at least one tiered pre-build and attach a tiered PDF template, and the New button offers it alongside your standard quotes.

Building one starts with the customer and an item. The item can come from your product library, be a one-off that exists only on this quote, or come from a connected supplier feed, where you explode the product to the exact variation, see the inventory position where the feed provides it, and are walked through the supplier's additional services such as print and setup. Choose price-based to use existing sale prices, or cost-based to bring in costs and apply a markup or margin. Add per-item prices for services and one-off charges for delivery or origination. Create the quote and the grid appears with a column per quantity; remove the breaks you do not want and add others, and each price is calculated. Since May and June 2026 the markup, margin, unit price and costs can be edited directly in the table.

The tiered PDF template repeats the price and quantity block for each quoted quantity beneath the item's description and image. On standard quotations, quantity-based pricing is also respected: when an item's quantity crosses a price break and its price list matches the quote's, the price and cost refresh automatically. Both behaviours are described on Quotes as part of the wider quoting flow.
